So that you can have a taster of this precious work, I am offering this free on-line workshop on Feb 6th
I am looking for brave and curious people to come on a journey with me, there will be laughter, there will definitely be tears and you will be astonished at what can happen in an hour and a half!
You do not have to put your camera or your mic on for this workshop and you can turn up in your pyjamas or from your car or bed.
This is for you and your creative soul, with no pressure to contribute to any discussions or to be seen.
Untold Stories - Is for any human who feels drawn to using creative writing to explore the deep and difficult stuff.
We will be looking at shame, taboo, vulnerability and fear, drawing on ‘what’s keeping us awake at night’ and what we are stuffing down during the day.
Using a series of guided exercises, we will begin to allow our authentic voices to be heard (if only to ourselves)
You can write in your mother tongue and you do not need to share to the group.
Investment: This course is 100% free (I will be running a longer ‘Untold Stories’ on-line course, starting in March (6 weeks/ 1 1/2hour zoom call a week) and a one day workshop in Lanjarón/Órgiva on the 9th of February which will not be free)
Registration: for this free course, simply turn up! Zoom link here:

What is the Untold Stories process?
(Please note, the free workshop is just a taster of the process, but even so it goes deep)
Over the past couple of years I have developed a process which I call ‘Untold Stories’
I am inspired by the work of James Pennebaker and also by my own writing practice.
I have tried it outman times online and in-person, in groups and also 1:1 and I find it to be a remarkably effective transformational and liberating tool.
Living in Orgiva, a small community of people, where everyone knows everyone else, I found it necessary to develop a way that people could work through their intensely personal processes without feeling the need to self censor or the pressure to disclose.
I was interested to see that this did not take away from the depth of the group process and in fact it fostered a sense of support and companionship and mutual respect as each worked with their own ‘Untold Story’
I give a combination of instructions, layering somatic practices with writing and drawing practices that allow the unconscious to speak and shine a different light on seemingly damaging and intractable past events.
This process allows a healing backwards and forwards in time so that the person finds that they can be lighter, more present, and joyful.
As a midwife, I find the atmosphere in the room to be very like that of the birth room: (We are talking home birth here!) There is work to be done and it is intense but it has purpose and if left to their own devices the person actually knows what to do.
I find that working this way on-line doesn’t take away from the depth of this experience either.
Some people will find that they want to share their stories, either in the group itself, with trusted friends, or at home, some people go on to use their writing as the basis for a story, a poem, a play or a song.
Workshop leaders and therapists will find this can be a great tool to add to their teaching/practice.
Each person finds what is right for them, with no expectations.
Once learnt, this process can be an effective tool to use whenever you are wrestling with something, feeling caught in negative repetitive stories or guarding a heavy secret.
Here is some feedback from past participants:
‘It was a truly nourishing, tender, deep and inspiring experience. I can sense new seedlings sprouting out...I appreciate they way you held us with such care, warmth and no B...S!
More please!'‘Thank you Lizzie, it was beautiful to take this time for myself, to dive deeply inside, in a silent circle of people and to be held in that space by you’
‘I found the Untold Stories workshop with Lizzie deeply and profoundly healing. Writing and movement is my medicine and it invited me to release and transform past trauma leaving me feeling heard, seen, lighter and empowered. The course taught me new writing techniques that I will use for life. Since the course I have noticed many shifts within me and in my relationships with my family. Huge appreciation and love to Lizzie for holding such a safe and respectful space so loving and gracefully to allow me to dive deep into my souls depths'
‘It was very powerful and so much moved within. Big shifts in a gentle and loving environment. Thank you Lizzie'
‘What you are doing is so necessary, so important and creative, thank you from the bottom of my heart'
‘So glad to have been able to touch on deep sadness and to connect to eternal strength, thank you Lizzie, you have a real gift'
‘Thanks to Lizzie Woolfenden for helping me realise the healing and self belief is possible’
‘I just want to share that I think the work is very powerful, that it took me to deeper layers than I have gone before and I have done a huge amount of processing over the years.´
‘I guess the course goes deeper than I expected and that just reminds me not to have expectations and also to remember who I am dealing with. Why would I not expect you to help us push the boat way out to sea? ´
Please feel free to come along and try it out, I ask that you arrive on 5 minutes early so that we can start on time.
